I’m Emmett — a recent CIS Administration grad working my way into the cybersecurity world, specifically Blue Team and defensive security. This blog is where I’ll document the things I’m building, breaking, and learning along the way.

Why bother writing it down?
Honestly, writing things out forces me to actually understand them. If I can explain it clearly, I know it. If I can’t, I have more work to do.
It’s also a record for future me — I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve solved a problem, forgotten how I did it, and had to solve it again from scratch.
If any of this ends up being useful to someone else, even better.
